Course Description

This course provides students with a solid grounding in the fundamentals of computer security. Students will learn a full range of security concepts and techniques and how to apply them to the most popular operating systems and application used today

Learning Objectives

  • At end of the course, the successful student will be able to explain the concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • At end of the course, the successful student will be able to explain the fundamental concepts and best practices related to authentication, authorization and access control.
  • At end of the course, the successful student will be able to identify common threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
