A hands on introduction to Cisco internetworking devices. The goal is to configure and manage Cisco switches within multiprotocol internetworks. Topics include VoIP (voice over Internet protocol), wireless network protocols, and routing protocols.
After completing this course, students should be able to:
Configure, verify, and troubleshoot Cisco Internet Operating System (IOS)
Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP services to meet wired and wireless network requirements
Implement and manage routing protocols and wide area networks (WAN) links
Identify security threats to a network and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate those threats, including firewalls, Network Address Translation (NAT), and access control list (ACL)
