Discover the Spanning Tree Protocols and how they can be used to prevent network loops.

SWITCH 2.0 : Spanning Tree and Per VLAN Spanning Tree

  • describe how STP elects a root bridge and how individual ports are selected to be disabled in order to prevent network loops
  • describe the five STP port states and configure STP to prefer particular bridges as root and particular interfaces when blocking
