EMC offers various types of storage technologies with emphasis on the needs of the particular business involved. This course compares enterprise flash drives and conventional disk drive storage systems, and it compares RAID 6 with other types or RAID. The course discusses cloud computing and compares it to on-site and outsourced delivery models, and looks at MOZY backup, EMC fortress, and Atmos. The course examines Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel over Ethernet technologies. Finally, this course looks at NAS Backup and different forms of SAN based replication. This course helps to prepare the learner for the E20-001 Information Storage and Management Exam.
Enterprise Flash Drives and RAID 6 - identify the features of enterprise flash drives - calculate the storage efficiency percentage for storage technologies using RAID 6, given a scenario Cloud Storage Infrastructure - identify infrastructure requirements of modern cloud approaches - identify the key attributes of cloud services Atmos - identify the features of Atmos RAID 6 and the Cloud Storage Infrastructure FC Architecture and Fibre Channel over Ethernet - differentiate between networks with and without FCoE - recognize how FCoE works - recognize how FC manages congestion CAS, NAS Backup, and SAN Replication - identify terminologies related to the data object storage process in a CAS system - differentiate between various types of backup in a NAS environment - recognize how SAN based remote replication works FCoE and Backup
