Course Description

Examine cyber network defense from three approaches: Prevention, Reaction, and Retrospection. You'll learn basic cyber security principles, and more advanced techniques including perimeter defense, hacking, forensics, and intrusion prevention.

Learning Objectives

This program is designed to help individuals get jobs as information security auditors, site administrators, computer forensics investigators. This program will immerse the student into an interactive environment where they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and secure their own systems; emphasizing perimeter defenses, Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer Overflows and Virus Creation. It also presents a detailed methodological approach to cyber network defense from three approaches: 1) Preventive 2) Reactive 3) Retrospective.
