Information Systems (IS) Management provides comprehensive and integrative coverage of essential new technologies, information system applications, and their impact on business models and managerial decision-‐making in an exciting and interactive manner. This course helps students understand the connection between IS and business performance through its use of relevant and current business cases and examples from Google, Facebook, Apple, The New Yorker, Yankees, Procter & Gamble, and Wal-Mart.
The emergence of cloud computing will be covered, as well as the growth of a mobile digital business platform based on smartphones, big data management technologies, social business, and the use of social networks by managers to achieve business objectives. Students can apply the concepts discussed in the class through hands-on team-based collaborative projects.
