During the MCTS – Configure Windows 7 course, the student will cover the following subjects: Installing, Upgrading, Migrating to Windows 7, Deploying Windows 7, Configuring Hardware & Applications, Configuring Network Connectivity, Configuring Access to Resources, Configuring Mobile Computing, Monitor and Maintaining Systems that run Windows 7, and Configuring Backup and Recovery Options.
The student can then take the MCTS: Windows 7 Configuration (70-680) exam to obtain his or her MCTS – Windows 7certification. After completing one exam, students can qualify to work as a Desktop Support Specialist or Junior Level administrator

Configure disks, partitions, volumes, and device drivers to enable a Windows 7 client computer. Configure file access and printers on a Windows 7 client computer. Configure network connectivity on a Windows 7 client computer. Configure wireless network connectivity on a Windows 7 client computer. Secure Windows 7 client desktop computers. Optimize and maintain the performance and reliability of a Windows 7 client computer. Configure mobile computing and remote access settings for a Windows 7 client computer.
