It’s that time of year again, and on October 5-6 SecureWorld is coming to Denver for the 4th annual cybersecurity education conference.
You’ll have the chance to network with industry professionals, earn CPE credits, and hear from keynote speakers such as Col. Cedric Leighton, CNN Military Analyst, USAF (ret.) and CEO of
Cedric Leighton Associates, and Paul Kurtz, CEO and Co-Founder of TruSTAR Technology.
This year's conference theme is "A Bug, a Raven, and a Misfit: The Colorful Cryptography That Consumed Edgar Allan Poe." Attendees will have fun opportunities to learn the backstory about Poe's contributions to the cyber world through the conference app, trivia games, and signage.
Also presenting this year is Jessica Raymond, IT Security Manager for Weld County Government. Her session, entitled “Some Women Fear the Fire. Some Women Simply Become It,” will focus on not only the need to fill numerous cybersecurity jobs, but how women are vastly underrepresented in the industry and can help fill those gaps.
During her session, Raymond will also be showing examples of great IT leaders who are women and how they got to where they are.
