The NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Mapping Tool is now available!

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework Mapping Tool takes the guesswork out of using the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (the NICE Framework).

The Mapping Tool helps managers and human capital professionals determine which NICE Framework Work Roles best align with their organization’s cybersecurity positions as well as assess workforce capability gaps. Current cybersecurity professionals can also use the Mapping Tool to plan their careers.

To use the tool, simply answer a series of questions about your team’s cybersecurity-related positions. The tool will analyze your inputs and display how each position maps to the NICE Framework. It will also depict a comprehensive picture of your team across the various Categories of cybersecurity work.

The Mapping Tool will:

  1. Help you inventory your current cybersecurity personnel and begin workforce planning
  2. Enable you to print out a report to help with developing your cybersecurity workforce
  3. Assist you in reporting Office of Personnel Management (OPM) cybersecurity position coding requirements (“OPM Data Element” requirements for Federal positions only)
  4. Display training opportunities aligned to the needs of your team

You have been selected to participate in a brief survey about your experience today with National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies.
